Ivan Dubrovin is a film director born in Münster, Germany. He has been making short films since the age of nine. After graduating from high school, he worked as an intern at the Deutsches Theater Berlin, honing his craft in traditional theater before moving to cinema.

Since 2019, he has been studying narrative feature film directing at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF). In 2024, he directed the science fiction short film Herr L, co-produced with Bayerischer Rundfunk, showcasing his ability to blend social satire with futuristic visuals.

His films have screened internationally, including LA Shorts International Film Festival (Academy Award® qualifying) and the Drama International Short Film Festival.
